New album Tchaikovsky & Rimsky-Korsakov
The trio’s seventh album is now available!
Two years after releasing two albums, “Dvorak/Suk” and “Les chants de l’Isolé,” the Karénines dive into Tchaikovsky’s immense trio, a monumental work dedicated to his friend Nikolai Rubinstein, combining it with a rare piece from the repertoire, the slow movement of Rimsky-Korsakov’s trio, as well as a previously unpublished work, the transcription of the second movement of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 2, entrusted to the trio by pianist Jean-Claude Pennetier.
